Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin bin Abdul Karim

Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin Abdul Karim is a distinguished Malaysian engineer and leader in the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom, and furthered his education by earning both Master's of Science in Structural Engineering and Ph.D in Civil Engineering from University of Southern California, United States of America.

Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin began his career in the Public Works Department (PWD) of Malaysia in 1978, where he made significant contributions over several decades. He rose through the ranks, ultimately serving as the Director-General of the Public Works Department from 2007 to 2011. His tenure was marked by his leadership in various major infrastructure projects and his efforts to modernise and improve construction practices within the department.

In 2011, Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia. Under his stewardship, the CIDB played a critical role in shaping policies and strategies to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Malaysia's construction industry. He was instrumental in advancing the Construction Industry Transformation Programme (CITP), which aimed to raise standards in safety, quality, productivity, and sustainability across the industry.

Beyond his role in public service, Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin also made significant contributions in the private sector, particularly with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB). He was appointed to the board of MRCB as an Independent Non-Executive Director. In this capacity, he provided strategic oversight and guidance to the company, leveraging his extensive experience in infrastructure development and construction management. His involvement with MRCB was pivotal in supporting the company's efforts to expand its portfolio of large-scale urban development and infrastructure projects.

Dato' Sri Ir. Dr. Judin has been a strong advocate for innovation and professionalism in engineering and construction. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and has been actively involved in various professional organisations. His leadership and contributions have been recognised with numerous awards and honors throughout his career.
