Dr. Asif Šabanović

Professor Emeritus Dr. Asif Šabanović earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Engineering degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following his graduation, he joined Energoinvest-IRCA in Sarajevo. He has held several notable academic positions, including as a Visiting Researcher at IPU in Moscow, a Visiting Professor at Caltech in Pasadena, CA, a Visiting Professor at Keio University in Yokohama, Japan, and a Full Professor at Yamaguchi University in Ube, Japan. He also served as the Head of the Department of Robotics at TÜBİTAK-MAM in Istanbul.

Currently, he is an Emeritus Professor and a member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His research interests encompass control systems, motion control systems, robotics, mechatronics, and power electronics.
