Early Childhood Sustainability in Action
SustainEDU Junior bridges the gap between theoretical sustainability and real-world action. By addressing the issue of daily kindergarten food waste, we transform disposal costs into interactive learning environments. Young learners transition from a "dispose" mindset to a "resource" mindset, building lifelong habits of environmental stewardship from an early age.
KSPK & Experiential Learning Implementation:
Fully aligned with the National Preschool Standard Curriculum (KSPK) and Pintar Botani framework, we embed experiential learning across S.T.R.E.A.M.
Science
Exploring organic decomposition and soil ecosystems.
Technology
Utilizing compost bins and watering tools as practical learning gear.

Fostering gratitude, responsibility, and care for the Earth.

Designing garden structures and basic irrigation setups.
Arts
Creative garden decoration and visual plant growth tracking.

Measuring fertilizer ratios, tracking mixing times, and calculating harvest yields.

Negeri Sembilan Pilot Project

Engaging 98 participants across 50 kindergartens, the initiative achieved 100% food waste awareness among children, with 91% mastering composting concepts. Meanwhile, 93% of educators seamlessly integrated it into daily routines, with students benefiting from improved motor skills, stress recovery, and reduced chemical fertilizer usage.

SustainEDU Launch & Award of Negeri Sembilan Pilot Project
On 25th July 2026 at Kompleks Rakan Muda Kuala Pilah, Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Man, Director-General of KEMAS, celebrated 9 award-winning schools for their excellence in sustainability. The ceremony recognized their success in reducing food waste and leading hands-on environmental education, setting a powerful benchmark for sustainable early childhood learning.
